Just in time for the Holidays - a 16" dump (light powder) on Saturday and another significant storm predicted for Sunday.

It has been a strange year for weather here at Killington, however our great snowmaking & grooming effort has quickly brought our trails back to an excellent condition regardless of what Mother Nature threw at us. Please come to Vermont and enjoy our fabulous conditions and trail variety, the best in the east!

In December I did 6 days of skiing with an excellent group of UK students from Queen Elizabeth's Hospital School in Bristol. They arrived as people who skied a few times and left skiing black and double black diamonds trails with great confidence and skill. If you haven't experienced foliage season at Killington you have really missed a visual treat.

Our famous teaching slope 'Snow Shed'. It has other nicknames. Mowed & ready for the guns to do their thing.	Center trail is 'Super Star'. Snow lasted until last week in May on this trail. Fun moguls all season long.	Killington peak at the top. Several black diamonds are ready for your enjoyment. These trails get early snowmaking.	Snowden area has interesting advanced intermediate trails. Served by a triple & a quad it is also a fine teaching area for those ready to 'break out' to a new ski level.	Made for families to enjoy skiing together. Mellow intermediate trails are on Rams Head. Next step up after Snow Shed. Lots of snow making here.

Killington Grand Summit Hotel is at the base of the mountains. If you haven't stayed there give it a try in a slope side unit.  All who have, rave about it.  With a new investor involved The 'Village' at Snowshed has new life:   When complete ; 520 hotel rooms, 700 suites, 160 townhouses, 20 duplexes, 180,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, and 50,000 square feet of public assembly space.

This skier needs a Private lesson! He has great balance but looks a little too stiff.
